Dr. Shannon Francis

Shannon Francis has been practicing chiropractic medicine since 2000. She uses a blend of chiropractic manipulation, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, cupping and polychromatic infrared light therapy to restore optimal health and balance to her patients.
Shannon seeks to restore and maintain maximum health by emphasizing nature’s inherent self-healing process. She accomplishes this through education and by using natural therapeutic methods and substances, which work in harmony with the body. In addition to chiropractic manipulation, acupuncture, light therapy and massage, Shannon also uses diet therapy, nutritional substances, and lifestyle modification.
In practice, Shannon adheres to the philosophy of the following principles:
- The healing power of nature
- Identify and treat the cause
- First, do no harm
- Doctor as a teacher
- Treat the whole person
- Prevention
Dr. Francis intentionally limits the size of her practice, enabling her to devote more time to each individual patient. Treatment plans are designed to balance body, mind and spirit.
She received her license in assuage therapy right out of high school. She pursued her Sports Medicine degree at Baldwin Wallace College, and her degree in Chiropractic Medicine was earned at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. Shannon’s certification in acupuncture was earned through American College of Medical Acupuncture. All of her post-graduate studies have been in functional medicine, facial enhancement acupuncture, neurotransmitter and endocrine support, and hormone balancing.
In addition to her private practice, Shannon is a mother of three children who remind her daily of the important things in life. She is an avid runner and swimmer. She also enjoys yoga, martial arts, reading, hiking, volunteering, and the outdoors.
